I have just got back from a very enlightening trip to Paris. I invested in a top coach as I felt there was something missing in my life/business and I knew something wasn’t matching up.
I realised when I was in Paris I wasn’t being the person that I wanted to be and being in an environment that I loved. This was a painful realisation! It wasn’t until someone else shined a light on my situation that I can fully see it. When you are going round and round in circles it is harder to see. I know that I love the city life, the buzz and walking to the shops but I live semi-rural where it is quiet. I love meeting people but spend most of my days working on a computer and staying in a home that I don’t love. So why wasn’t I creating a life that I wanted?
What I had failed to do was to be actually honest about what I wanted. I was compromising because of my husband and what my kids wanted and I felt that I wasn’t living MY life. I was also listening to my fears and limitations about what I can and can’t have.
I have been a mum for 19 years now and this trip to Paris was the first time that I was on my own, looking after just me and it felt fantastic. I was scarred at the thought of it but actually it was the greatest thing I could do for me and my family, to take time out and invest in myself.
I needed to get passionate about MY life, get in touch with what I wanted and have some guidance on how to do that. It takes courage to stand up for what you want and go for it. Not everyone does but if you are feeling the strong desire that change needs to happen then you must go for it, do whatever it takes to get the life you want.
It’s up to you to decide whether or not the reward for which are you striving for (a more passionate life) is worth the price you must pay in effort, investing in yourself and making it happen.
Take the first step. I look forward to bringing clarity to your life.
